Autonomous protection for beehives

Protecting bees,
preserving tomorrow

bkeeprz protects beehives against the Asian hornet. Day and night, fully autonomous, with no need for the beekeeper to intervene. Technology in service of the bee, with respect for nature.

Protecting bees

We develop solutions that support bees and strengthen their habitat.

Sustainable & mindful

Our products and services are sustainable, responsible and made with respect for nature.

Stronger together

Together with partners, communities and customers we build a better future.

Future-focused

Every choice we make, we make with the future in mind.

The problem

A small hornet,
a major risk to the colony.

The Asian hornet (Vespa velutina) is an invasive species that preys on honeybees at the hive. A small number of hornets can seriously weaken a colony or cause it to collapse.

Until now, beekeepers have had few effective, automated options. bkeeprz provides continuous, autonomous protection right at the hive, so the bees stay safe and the beekeeper can leave with peace of mind.

What we do

Detect, recognise, protect.

The unit sits permanently by the colony and works entirely on its own. Three steps, repeated continuously, day and night, with the wellbeing of the bee as the starting point.

01

Detect

A camera with day and night vision watches the approach to the hive, at any light level.

02

Recognise

On-device image recognition tells the hornet apart from the bee. Accuracy prevents mistakes.

03

Protect

Only the confirmed threat is neutralised, precisely. The bees and their surroundings stay untouched.

Info folder

Everything about bkeeprz,
in one folder.

In five pages, the digital info folder sums up what bkeeprz stands for: the threat of the Asian hornet, how detection and selective neutralisation work, and where we are taking the platform. Made to forward to your beekeeping association, your colleagues or your board.

  • The Asian hornet: spread, damage and why existing methods fall short.
  • The technology in five steps: detection, recognition, verification, neutralisation and learning.
  • Key features: AI vision, edge computing, laser precision, IP65 housing and connectivity.
  • Our mission, core values and the route to working together with beekeepers, researchers and partners.
